Teaching to Students
Teaching yoga as a lead instructor for Indy Yoga Movement is an opportunity for you to make a positive difference by directly impacting the life of each student in your class. Our teachers have a passion for yoga, mindfulness, and a passion for serving youth.
Indy Yoga Movement teachers understand the varying needs of our Indianapolis area youth and are committed to serving the community.
Teaching Prerequisites

Teachers must hold a 200 hr yoga alliance approved teacher certification 200RYT.

Pass a criminal background check

Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation

Excellent communication skills
Types of Classes
Our teachers have opportunities to teach different types of classes.
We currently deliver the following types of programs and classes:

In-person, live virtual (via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meets), or pre-recorded video lessons

Large physical education classes (Teach to 40+ students at a time for a half or full day of classes)

Small physical education classes (Teach to 10-20 students at a time for a half or full day of classes)

Mindfulness focused lessons, activities, and movement
